NATA 2022 Exam
The National Aptitude Test in Architecture is a screening test conducted by the Council of Architecture in India for admission to first year of the 5-year B.Arch. degree course. The test is mandatory for all recognized Institutions in India.
NATA measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture, through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc., besides the learning that the candidate has acquired over the past few years and is related to the specific field of study
The Tests shall be conducted on different dates as computer-based examinations. Candidates are allowed to appear for up to 3 NATA tests.
In case a candidate appears for 2 Tests, best of the 2 scores shall be the valid score and in the case of 3 attempts, valid score shall be average of the 2 best scores.

NATA 2022 Exam Dates
The Council of Architecture (COA) has announced that the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2022) shall be conducted by the Council thrice for the year 2022. The Test shall be on 12.06.2022, 07.07.2022 and 07.08.2022 respectively in two sessions each.

Schedule of Examination
Examination shall be conducted in two sessions on the date of the Test, subject to the number of candidates registered for the session. The candidates need to indicate their preference for session & city of examination while registering at NATA portal, www.nata.in. The session during which the candidate will take the test as well as the Test Centre shall be allotted by the Council, as far as possible, on the basis of preferences provided by the candidate in the application form. The decision of the Council in allotting Test Centre and session to candidates shall be final. The three tests shall be held on June 12, 2022, July 7, 2022 and August 7, 2022 respectively. NATA 2022 Syllabus (Aptitude Test)
The aptitude test of NATA may comprise questions of Multiple-Choice type (MCQ), Multiple Select type (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer type (NAQ) and Match the following type (MFQ).
The questions will carry 1 mark, 2 marks or 3 marks and 125 questions have to be answered in 180 minutes. The medium of Aptitude test will be essentially English language. Some questions may be in regional languages also.
The aptitude of the candidate will be assessed using some or all of the following techniques:
- Diagrammatic Reasoning – Tests the ability of logical reasoning, using diagrams and scenarios.
- Numerical Reasoning – Tests mathematical ability through simple problems.
- Verbal Reasoning – Assesses the ability to assess verbal logic.
- Inductive Reasoning – Tests the ability to see patterns and analyse given data.
- Situational Judgment – Tests problem-solving ability.
- Logical Reasoning – Tests ability to recognise patterns, sequences or relationships between shapes and imagery.
- Abstract Reasoning – Will assess general knowledge, and ability to utilise knowledge in new situations.
Questions could be asked in various topics that assess candidates on basic concepts in mathematics, physics and geometry, language and interpretation, elements and principles of design, aesthetic sensitivity, colour theory, lateral thinking and logical reasoning, visual perception and cognition, graphics and imagery, building anatomy and architectural vocabulary, basic techniques of building construction and knowledge of material, general knowledge and current affairs, etc. and are may not be limited to those outlined.

NATA 2022 Application Form and Registration Process
NATA 2022 applications are to be filled out online at the NATA portal, www.nata.in.
Candidates need to visit the portal and CLICK the requisite link ONLINE APPLICATION NATA 2022. They will be directed to the actual application form. The form is interactive in nature and the fields required to be filled up are categorized in different subsections. The fields super-scribed with an asterisk (*) MUST be filled up as they are MANDATORY, otherwise the application will NOT get submitted.
The application form can broadly be categorized into three steps: PERSONAL DETAILS, DOCUMENT UPLOADING, and FEE PAYMENT. Please see APPENDIX-IV for detailed guidelines. Candidates need to fill in the first part, PERSONAL DETAILS, and will thereafter be directed to DOCUMENT UPLOADING. Once the documents are successfully uploaded, the system will move to the FEE PAYMENT. Finally, the candidate must take a printout of the CONFIRMATION PAGE generated upon successful fee payment for their own record. There is no need to send any document by post.

NATA 2022 Exam Centres
The NATA 2022 exam will be conducted at various centres across India by the Council of Architecture (CoA). This is a national level entrance examination for admission to architecture courses offered by various colleges in India. The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) will be held on 12.06.2022, 07.07.2022 and 07.08.2022 respectively in two sessions each. NATA will have two parts – Part A and Part B. Part A of the NATA 2022 exam will be conducted for two hours and will consist of a multiple-choice question (MCQ) paper. Part B of the NATA 2022 exam will be conducted for three hours and will consist of a drawing test. The NATA 2022 exam centers have not been announced yet. The list of NATA 2022 exam centers will be released by the Council of Architecture (CoA) on the official website. Candidates can check the list of NATA exam centers on the official website and can choose the centre nearest to their location.

The Council of Architecture (CoA) has released the NATA mock test 2022 on the official website at nata.in. Students preparing for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture must solve the NATA mock test to boost their preparation.

The Council of Architecture (CoA) is expected to release the NATA online mock test 2022 in online mode. By practicing NATA mock tests, candidates get a chance to know the type of questions expected in NATA 2022 and also get to analyze their preparation. NATA Eligibility
Candidates who have completed their 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or 10+ 3 Diploma with Mathematics as subject of study can appear for NATA 2022. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2022.
Candidates may note that NATA 2022 is the qualifier for admission to B.Arch. program offered by Universities/ Institutions in the country, subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Council. The eligibility criteria are outlined in Clause 5.2 of this brochure.
QUALIFYING IN NATA 2022 DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A RIGHT/ GUARANTEE IN FAVOUR OF THE CANDIDATE FOR ADMISSION TO ANY ARCHITECTURE COURSE UNLESS THE CANDIDATE HAS FULFILLED ALL THE PRESCRIBED REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED BY RESPECTIVE COMPETENT AUTHORITIES IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ELIGIBILIY CRITERIA LAID DOWN BY THE COUNCIL.
Issue of Admit Card
For each Applicant, an Admit Card will be generated according to the schedule notified indicating the allotted Examination Centre for NATA 2022 and a downloadable version of the admit card will be published on the respective webpage of the candidate concerned. An Examination Roll Number will also be generated for each candidate.
Candidate is required to download the soft copy of the Admit Card from the website and must appear in the examination with a printed hard copy at the concerned Examination Centre indicated in the downloaded Admit Card along with one original photo identity card- Voter Card/ Pan Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving Licence.
Candidates must ensure that the photograph and signature printed on the admit card are not mutilated / distorted / soiled even by accident. Candidates with such mutilated / distorted / soiled admit cards will not be allowed to appear in NATA-2022.
All Candidates are advised to retain their admit cards carefully in secured place in undamaged condition in all respects as stated above till the completion of admission procedure.
NATA Result (Score Card)
Results will be available in the website www.nata.in.
The score card will display the following:
- Marks obtained in the exam out of 200.
- In case the candidate appears for more than one test all scores received in the attempts will be
displayed. - In case a candidate appears for 2 Tests, best of the 2 scores shall be taken as the valid score
and in the case of 3 attempts, valid score shall be taken as the average of the 2 best scores
- In case the candidate appears for more than one test all scores received in the attempts will be
- Qualified/ Not Qualified.
Qualifying marks for NATA- 2022 is 70 marks out of 200 marks.

(ii) Application fee payable by a Candidate who wishes to apply for both first and second test is Rs 4000/- (Rupees Four thousand only).
(iii) Application Fee payable by candidates belonging to SC/ST and PWD and transsexual category for any one test is Rs 1500/- (Rupees One thousand five hundred only) and for both tests is Rs 3,000/- (Rupees three thousand hundred only).
(iv) Application fee payable to Candidates opting to appear from test centres outside the Territory of India is Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) for any one test and Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) for both the tests through online mode.
